Vacation

Cole took some time off of work so that we could go visit his parents and reunite with some old friends.  It's crazy to think that Cole was having his 10 year high school reunion already!  Has it really been that long?
On our 2nd day in town, Cole, his dad Ed, and Cameron went to a nearby canyon for some off-roading.  Ever since Cole has gotten his new truck he's been itching to take it out.  Cameron did really well hiking & climbing.  They found a rattle snake, and put their feet in the water.  The potholes were too fast & deep to actually swim.

At Cole's reunion BBQ, they had two bump & jumps for all the kids.  Cameron jumped for all 3 hours; wore her out!  As for the adults, some of us played Bachey Ball.  (I know I couldn't have spelled that right!)  It's where each person throws a ball at a smaller ball out at a distance.  Whoever gets their ball the closest, gets a point.

One of the nights we were having s'mores, Cameron found a tiny scorpion.  Don't let the picture fool you, it was maybe 1 to 2 inches long.  On our way out of town, we stopped at the fire station to say goodbye to Cole's dad Ed at work.  Cameron loves those big trucks!

The road home took longer than expected due to traffic and extra weight...  Cole and Ed loaded 1/2 a ton of lava rock and flagstones into the back of the truck for us to take home.  We stayed busy on our vacation but in a good way.  Not pictured, we helped Cole's mom Bobbi with a garage sale fundraiser for her non-profit; and also went downtown for a farmer's market.  As silly as it may seem, I also enjoyed not having to cook or spend 100% of my time watching Cameron.  Thanks Ed & Bobbi for the wonderful time, food, and "babysitting" breaks.
